Results from the Swedish Nationals in Premodern 2018

Sunday the 17th of June was the date for the first ever Swedish Nationals in Premodern. The event took place in Stockholm and was organized by myself and hosted by Wak-Wak, who also organized the 93/94 tournament Ivory Cup on the day before. 18 players showed up to battle for the first prize:

A pretty good mix of decks, although some archetypes were not represented, e.g. Survival of the Fittest decks.

Five rounds of Swiss were played, followed by a top 8. The event was streamed and commented by yours truly and the replay can be seen here. (The Swiss rounds were commented in Swedish but the top 8 was done in English, starting from about 5 h 47 min.)

In the end, Jonas Lefvert with Enchantress beat Martin Sahlberg with Four-Colour Control, thereby becoming the first Swedish Nationals champ in Premodern – congratulations! To conclude this short report, here are the top 8 decks:
